Our day trip for Thursday 29 October is the Hoddle Grid – The Great Land Grab exhibition at the Royal Historical Society of Victoria which is located at 239 A’Beckett Street Melbourne. The exhibition explores Melbourne’s very first land sale in 1837. We will travel by train to Flagstaff station then a short walk to our destination arriving at around 10.30. One of the staff has offered to give us a small talk on the history of the building. It is an easy exhibition to move through at your own pace and entry is free. Parkance Coffee, Brick Lane Melbourne in Guildford Lane and rustic warehouse Kimper Café all nearby have been recommended for coffee or lunch and with weather permitting a walk through Flagstaff Gardens.
