On Thursday August 20 we have a tour booked at Duldig Museum and Sculpture Park for 10.30 am. It has been recommended by Ken and Liz. I checked it out on Sunday and we are in for a treat – cost is $25 which also includes morning tea on arrival (Viennese plum cake pictured).
Located in the original home, the museum offers a unique experience where art, history and heritage come to life.
It’s just 30 mins to 92 Burke Rd East Malvern but let’s car pool (not that car parking is an issue). We will meet at the football club on Weatherall Rd at 9.45am. After the tour if weather permits we can take a short stroll through Central Park and have a casual lunch at Coffee and Soul.
This story is about Karl, Slawa & Eva Duldig a Jewish family from Vienna who came here as refugees – and it was transformed into a staged production .
Back in 2023 Liz & Ken saw this musical called Driftwood – an epic story of love, courage, survival and the invention of foldable umbrellas!
