On Thursday 19 November the plan is to travel by train to Williamstown as I now know the ferry does not run on week days! (Sorry about that I too was disappointed).
We will change trains at Southern Cross (from line 13 to 14) then hop off at the last Williamstown station (there are 3). Here we will be met by John our guide who will introduce us to a number of historic buildings – around an hour at the cost of $5/ head. I will collect cash from you either at the next meeting or on the day itself.
Then you will have free time to wander around and have lunch at one of the many cafes or pubs.
We will reconvene at an agreed time and place then return home by train.
So this is the schedule for departure – Frankston line Parkdale 9.10 Mentone 9.12 Cheltenham 9.15 Southland 9.17 Highett 9.19. We arrive at 9.57 then catch the train to Williamstown 13 mins later.
