This year we had our Christmas Lunch at the Dingley International Hotel on December 12. We have had our yearly lunch at this venue for the last three years and they have never disappointed us. The tables were beautifully decorated and the waitresses were friendly and accommodating. I hope everyone enjoyed the food; I thought it was delicious especially because I didn’t have to cook it.
Thank you so much to Jan who never fails to do a fantastic job of being our emcee. She always has some jokes and they are always funny. A special thank you to Geraldine McGann who purchased and packaged the chocolates which were given to each guest. And another special thank you to Penny McColl who decorated the table prizes. We appreciate all the member donations for the Hamper Draw.
Now for the entertainment – I thought the “Real Paul Hogan” was an engaging performer. He had everyone singing along and he had a favourite with Helene Knight. I thought he made sure everyone was having a good time and he read the mood in the room very well. We may engage him again.
Special mention to John and Judith Tindale and Laurie Gwillim who were unable to attend because of illness. Hope you are all feeling better.
