Cruise through the port of Melbourne along the Maribyrnong River passing Flemington Racecourse where the tramboat will berth in Essendon. Enjoy a short stroll and some leisure time at Poyntons Nursery (rather than at the Anglers Arms for a hot pub lunch as previously advised).
The cost for this day out is $49. This includes a complementary morning tea and a hot pub lunch for a minimum of 30 people.
There is a new multi-level car park (off Park Road near Hall Street) at the Cheltenham Railway Station.
These are the times of the train we feel we should catch to arrive at Southern Cross at 9.50 am which would give us enough time to walk to the Tramboat by 10.15 am: Mordialloc 8.59 am, Parkdale 9.01 am, Mentone 9.03 am, Cheltenham 9.06 am, Southland 9.08am, Highett 9.10 am, Moorabbin 9.12 am.
It is suggested that you travel in the last carriage on the train so everyone can go together to the Tramboat.
