It was a very competitive Pétanque event for the final day of the year at Beaumaris Reserve between the Ladies and Gents. There was a great turnout with fourteen competitors and about eight spectators present on a sunny but cold and windy day.
Sadly for us Men, the Ladies won the day with a lot of skill and some cheating and corruption we believe.
Penny, as seen in photo above, rewarded the winners with a gift of hand made Santa-hatted chocolates.
Afterwards, the refreshments in the Pavilion at The Concourse Beaumaris were very warming for our final chat for the year. We all look forward to another good season in 2023.
