The Gods were kind to us. It didn’t rain! I believe there were 38 starters all chomping on the bit to enjoy the freedom of being outdoors and socialising with good friends. Congratulations to the menfolk who embraced the notion to do the cooking and leaving the ladies to relax and catch up. Many of the ladies dropped by to check on progress and I believe they were satisfied. As a newcomer to the Club I found it interesting to eavesdrop on conversations around the hotplates as the cooks swapped stories from past days.
Those attending made the night. It was great to see people bring chairs and tables and set up with friends. People were mingling with glass in hand and the atmosphere was like a carnival. Penny added to this with her table of CWA goodies for sale. Thank you to all who attended and made the night a success.
The Committee would appreciate any feedback and any interest in another Twilight BBQ in December.
