The plan is to take a guided tour of the Fire Services Museum of Victoria on 29 May – a place that exhibits the evolution of fire fighting equipment but also provides an insight into the people and the stories that have shaped the State’s fire services. It seems most of the guides are retired firefighters !
This event is scheduled for Thursday the 29th May when we will travel by train to Parliament Station then take a short walk for a 10.30am tour. The cost is $8 each and this needs to be paid into the Probus account by the 18th April.
At 12 noon we will pop into Cafe Ecco for a casual lunch at your own expense. Then just 25 members can visit the Metro Tunnel Centre in Swanston St.at 2pm for a free presentation . The numbers are limited as it is a small space .
