RAIN RAIN GO AWAY!

Fourteen hardy members braved the rolling waves of rain and met up for the 10 November BBQ at Basterfield Park. Fortunately, there was a good sized gazebo for shelter. The Tomlinsons were there early to greet us all and set up the space. Thank you Jim & Joan for your enthusiasm. Most of us brought ready made picnic items rather than cook out in the rain. Nearby, a boot camp group arrived and set up their mats and equipment on the sodden grass (we think we may have taken their space). Replete with our food, refreshments and good company, we drifted off home knowing we had made an effort, turned up and stayed dry – mostly!
