Wednesday mornings at Beaumaris Oval
I would like to welcome all the ladies who have attended our new activity of Petanque. It is an interesting sport and lots of fun, especially sometimes trying to work out who is the winning team. We would like to thank Steve McColl for helping us with the instructions of learning how to play the game correctly. He is a very patient teacher. If there are any other ladies who would be interested in participating in this activity, you are more than welcome to join us on Wednesday mornings at 10-45 am at the Beaumaris Oval and for coffee afterwards at the Beaumaris Concourse. PETANQUE RETURNS SPRINGTIME!
MESSAGE FROM THE COACH
Hello Fellow Probians,
Brace yourselves! we are coming out of winter recess and I am pleased to advise Petanque is commencing again, so put on your sports gear and come on down at 10.30am on Wednesday 7th September 2022 to the Beaumaris Oval located behind the Beaumaris Library on Reserve Road. Enter off Cloris Ave or Victor Street. Petanque will be followed with us heading for coffee and a chat at the Concourse.
Should the weather be unfavourable, don’t be disheartened, we will still meet at the oval and then move down to the Concourse to enjoy an extended coffee and chat.
Note: While Marilyn Scott is away Faye Wegat (0409 265 503) will be acting as the convenor for the ladies Petanque group.

Beaumaris Reserve which is located behind the Beaumaris Library in Reserve Road, Beaumaris.Access to the reserve is via the entrance off Reserve Road, the closest entrance to Cloris Avenue. When you come into the entrance proceed East past the library building which will be on your right and continue to the parking area and oval.

The participating women have been enjoying our friendly games over the last few weeks. The weather has not necessarily been very kind to us but together with Covid restrictions, we have battled through. We would welcome more of our female members to come out here with us to enjoy the freedom, fresh air and the coffee and chat afterwards at the Concourse.
