As this is my last president’s report, I feel it appropriate to reflect on the past year, and my time as president.
The year saw the challenge of the golf club renewing its lease, to which we gave our full support and I’m pleased to say was successful.
There was also a difficult decision regarding a pause in members and guests for a short time. We are now in the position of having over one hundred members.
I would like to thank the committee and the conveners for their support and commitment over the past year. I feel that the club has grown not only in numbers but in providing activities and true fellowship within the club.
On behalf of our members I would like to thank Graeme Storey our newsletter editor for his tremendous contribution to our club. Graeme has been editor for the past sixteen years but has decided to step down.
To our incoming President Janette, your help and assistance throughout the year has made my time so much easier, and trust you enjoy your year ahead.
The year as President has been one of my most memorable and rewarding years on committees, so to all members I thank you for your encouragement and support .
To my wife Beryl, thank you for your support and assistance.
We also celebrate twenty five years as a club, and are privileged to still have two foundation members with us which is indeed a great achievement.
This year sees the first ballot for committee positions in a long time, which I’m sure we all agree shows how committed and dedicated our members are. It is through the willingness of members to participate, that our club will remain strong into the future .
Thank you all once again for your support over the year as we look forward to another successful year ahead.
