What an amazing year to be President – it started with our 25 year anniversary then in April it is Probus Australia’s 50th anniversary.
And to top it off, I have just returned home from a fantastic 5 days away with 38 members at Inverloch. I am so proud to be part of a club where members work as a team. Yes John & Michele certainly led the way but, one by one, I saw others emerge. Times like this I feel that the words, “thank you” are not enough!
I am excited as we have lots of fun events ahead of us this year with our next outing being to the famous MCG and then a bus trip to the Yarra Valley. All now in place , thank you to Pauline, our new daily activities Convener.
Easter is very early this year so note no Easter bonnet parade instead a very interesting speaker Fiona from Beaumaris Modern.
We have a number of changes within our committee but please know, you are all welcome to drop in, listen in and even offer us a suggestion on the first Wednesday of each month at 1.30 pm.
A thank you to all our convenors as you quietly go about coordinating events week after week.
A warm welcome to Wendy who will now lead our monthly walks and to Lesley who will greet you at the monthly coffee mornings. This is a reminder that it is essential to read our newsletter and check out the website for updates on what is happening.
And a final thank you to Gary who has included me all the way in his term as President – and yes he makes good coffee!
