Our first outing for 2026 will be to the Ripponlea Estate – on Thursday 26th February.
Two options to get there (1) car pool and park in Hotham Street with all day parking or (2) take the Sandringham train to Ripponlea station and then a 5 minute walk.
The good news for the early morning coffee addicts [like me] is you can grab one just inside at the Gatehouse cafe.
It opens at 10 am so we can wander around the garden until 11 then meet back at the mansion for a conducted tour.
I am required to pay one week in advance – the cost for entry and the tour is $18 but if you are a National Trust member the cost is just $5. [Entry is free ]. Please transfer into our club account by the 18th February – which is the first general meeting for the year.
After the tour, we can go to the iconic Elsternwick hotel at the corner of Nepean and Glenhuntly Roads for lunch. Ripponlea Estate is located at 192 Hotham Street, Elsternwick.
